Turbines Description
Essentially, the plant consisted of two x 42MW natural gas fired GE F6B
gas turbine generators each matched up to a Zurn 112 tonne per hour
natural circulation HRSG’s with supplementary gas duct firing contributing
approximately 50 tonnes per hour of that per unit total and a nominal
43MW GE controlled extraction condensing steam turbine generator
providing up to 2800 tonnes per day of process steam at 1320 kPa and
270°C. Beyond that are the related ancillaries – water demineralizing
plant, steam turbine bypass conditioning system and cooling tower.
The specifics of the turbines are as follows:
